This is Keely and her friend Bella. These photos were taken in October of 2013 and they were a couple of high energy girls. We had a great time photographing them at Johnson State Park.
Miles is my second oldest dog that my wife and I adopted from TAILS Humane Society in DeKalb Illinois. He is about 5 years old and loves to catch his frisbee in the yard. He's not a huge fan of my camera but he cooperates once in awhile.
This was my first equestrian session not counting some of the barrel races I did last year. Terri and her horses were fun to photograph and I would like to make equestrian photography a more regular part of my photography.
After seeing some of my work through her organization K9Kindness Hunter's mom Debbie contacted me to do photos of Hunter. Hunter has had a rough life fighting different illnesses so much so that Debbie had to carry Hunter outside multiple times a day so he could go to the bathroom. Hunter is doing better these days through the support of his very loving mother.
Alfie is my youngest dog who we adopted from the Henry County Humane Society in Kewanee IL. He is a very loving and active boy who doesn't care for the camera but if you give him a little time he gets use to it.
Paisley was about 8 month old when she had her photo session for the HCHS-K Calendar project I worked on. She was a funny little girl and very photogenic.
This is my oldest dog Pete. Pete is about 10 years old and most days he don't show it. In 2013 Pete has been my subject for a 52 week project that I participate in on Flickr. I've really enjoyed the project but Pete never makes it easy to get the photo. He really does not like my camera and I don't think he will be to disappointed if it's not in his face every week.
Bailey (the little one) was are foster pup when she was younger. She was feautured on the HCHS-K calendar cover. Bailey, Anna and their mom Denise were all part of the photo session.
Riley and Timber were the first dogs to get their photos done for the HCHS-K calendar. I met them in their home on a cold February day and was so impressed with their manners. We did photos in the house and outside and they both seemed to enjoy the extra attention.
Duke came rolling up in an old Ford truck to a park in Galva. I was so happy when I seen duke in the truck I knew we would have a fun shoot with plenty of options. Dukes dad is the Pharmacist at Galva Pharmacy.
Sam was our dog who passed away in July 2013. Sam left a huge whole in our hearts that we are still trying to fill. He was never very shy with the camera and almost every time I photographed him he would give me a good pose. Sam was definitely the king of the castle and his brothers knew it.
